Speaking of RJ Tech, I stumbled upon this website while surfing.

He emailed me and said the following about RJ Tech players:
"The CAVS 103G and RJ-Tech RJ-1500DVXII are pretty much the same player except for the features mentioned above and their look. They are both based on the ESS Vibratto II chipset and each company has tweaked the firmware here and there.
FYI: CAVS has a new player along the lines of the 103G, the 105G. RJ-Tech has a kind of successor to the 1500, the RJ-1800DVX but it is based on another chipset manufactured by Sunplus Technology that isn't nearly has good and I have had numerous problems with the one I purchased from Newegg (see review on their site).
FYI: these players are dual voltage, multi-region players made in China and are not expressly made for the USA main stream market. They use PC-based drives that do not extend all the way out like you may be accustomed to. Also, the power buttons are toggled on/off and are not push button (once toggled ON, you can use the remote to turn them on and off but they stay warm and may consume more electricity that necessary. No big deal really, just different.
