Anybody? :newlol:
While taking a short break at a truckstop in OH. the other night, I was sifting through some prehistoric cassette tapes....yeah, my rig only has a tape player in it and it's a 2001 KW T2000!!
Anyhow, it was Valentine's Day evening, the moon was full and huge coming up from the east...I was mesmerized I guess. :newlol:
Just for kicks, I picked up this $5.99 cassette tape and BOY!! was I glad I did!! I love it!!
It has Barry White songs on one side, and the orchestra songs on the other. The 1st orchestra song on the tape is "Love's Theme". I am just thrilled that I finally found out the name of this piece...I can't believe I never knew it before. I am so into this song, I can't stop listening to it...such a pleasant melody.
And no, I'm not flicking my wrists right now either...I must be a hopeless romantic is all I figure. LMMFAO!! :newlol:
Anyone else get a thrill like this when you hear some music that is probably long forgotten, but then you re-discover it?

:newlol: I take it you don't like "Barry" Manilow either? Truthfully, I'll pass on that one too.

I thought a finer taste in music was right up your alley Kappy?

It took alot of courage for me to reveal my sensitive side to music here.  :(  :newlol:

Never never gonna give you up, your my first my last my everything, can't get enough of your love baby...were all songs I had to cover in the mid 1970's...NIght after night after night, along with the beegee's :Night Fever genre: , Bostons "Let me take you home tonight, more than a feeling (which I do like btw)....and of course Neil diamonds Crackling rose, if you know what I mean babe, long fellow serenade... AWB Cut the cake, person to person,  Steely Dans Pretzel logic stuff,  Blood sweat and tears, etc etc etc,,,'

I remember these with the fine memories of a nagging toothache,  I lived and breathed this tacky stuff...  ROFLAO..sorry

At least 5 nights a week I played it at clubs... and the absolute worst song IMHO..that bored the &*#( out've me...the Eagles  "Best of my love", depressing boring, and horrid to play  JMHO,,,BLECH  :(

One of the biggest highs is finding an old song that was special twenty to thirty years ago and singing it. During the whole song time does not exist, pain does not exist and there is no limits to virtually anything. At that time you are back in that time and half way around the world. It truly brings back memories and long lost emotions...

I agree that we do know we survived the roughtimes Karyoker, and although it brings back memories of times that might've been rough, it's a strange memory and sensation that isn't exactly pain I don't think...Yet music brings back memories for me both good and bad....I hear certain songs and I revert back to a time where I can even smell scents that I was smelling MANY years ago, see colors and sites.Relive the occassion as a memory, while being glad I know I'm not really there.  Like watching yourself dream..Yet certain songs, DO bring some memories that I'm glad no longer have such poignancy associated with times that were absolute hell for me....

Some of the TOUGHEST memories for me are songs that remind me of teenage years when I was infatuated with someone that didn't notice me...DAMN, infatuation is strong !!!  really makes you feel like a tiny nothing...other's having two fiance's (or is female version two E's), cheat on me...one that I walked in on while THEY were in my bed in my apt...I remember the song that was playing...I'd say it, but you'd all get funny, and submit it on the same day in SS....and I'd have to quit here...

(only kidding Perry btw, Barry White, and Barry Manilow are huge names even 30 years after their prime in the industry... Regardless of my own feelings, I don't denigrate people like that...They made it & I just yack in here.  Not exactly famous, cept in my head...(I still have quite an audience up there btw, it's like a stadium up there sometimes).
