It works i'm telling ya. Next time you get a long solo song, have a newspaper or magazine to read - especially if the crowd is into the performance to begin with.

I like the Sunfly stuff, particularly from the audience perspective - when the yellow screen comes up you know they're done and you're not about to applaud during an instrumental break
from an audience stand point, i understand that logic. as for knowing where you are in the song, i don't use the monitor much anymore, but i have been told by several singers that it would help them tremendously.

They are chock full of instrumental breaks, after each verse/chorus you'll have a fiddle riff, then a mandolin one, then a banjo one....... and you stand there waiting.
It's cool music- if you're hearing it live, or playing it yourself. But I too wish they'd take it out of karaoke.
well, i do a pretty mean rendition of "Man of Constant Sorrow". maybe we could duet (play on words) together once i get my recording system set up sometime next week.

Most of the people that do the Man Of Constant Sorrow here tend to do the dance from the movie which is fun to watch. We have one trio that actually do the whole dance as it was done in the movie. For Halloween they even dressed the part - it was awesome.

LMAO It is funny when a wife and husband are singing and he starts singing her part. I've seen gals smack the guy or even take his mic for being so stupid. Oh, been there ~ done that. And I was on the SOBER end of it. Had a drunk ask me to duet "Picture" with him a few weeks ago. He's a pretty decent singer, and we had dueted it before. He was so drunk, he mumbled through his verse....... then I GUESS he started feeling "warmed up" by the time it got to my part, cause he sang some of mine too. But it was all okay, we had fun. Actually, my throat was getting rough by the end of the night, and it might have been a good thing that lil' Danny DID sing some of my lines, hahaha. (EDIT::: AND......... since it seems I'm now carrying on a "one sided conversation", , I'm gonna get out of here & go paint on my new house some more....) See ya all next week sometime.
So, Charmin, when were you in Texas? Because I did that EXACT thing on that EXACT song a while back!! Think it's contagious or somethin'? :D

Hi everybody,
Thanks for the comments -- I have some Sound Choice tracks and I am checking them out.
I'm wondering if you find dark blue to be as easy to read as a black background?
Someone mentioned scrolling -- that is proving to be the trickiest part for some songs. When there's not enough time between the bottom line on the screen and the next line suddenly appearing at the top.

For me black is best.

In karaoke builder studio You can controp every aspect of the song. So when the lyrics are quick you can control when the next lines appear. so as the last line is highlighting the next 2 lines ar appearing on the top row thats a better system than sound choice who only change pages when the lyrics are done. thats a drag for the first line of the next page when it comes up too quick. As fot the color change the only blue that works for the black screen is a baby blue like sound choice uses for the duets. Dark blue is too dark for a black background stick with light colors, White , Yellow, Light red and greens, etc.
