I still remember one High School teacher (long time ago, back in the dark ages) that was Jewish.  Our classroom didnt have a Christmas Tree, but instead had a Hanukkah Bush.

What does a Hanukkah bush look like?  I've never seen one.  (and please, let's avoid the obvious sexual entendres or jokes about our President--I just want to know how a Hanukkah bush differs from a Christmas tree!)   LOL

There was no difference.  The teacher brought a tree to class more in the 'spirit' of the season, so it could be enjoyed by all.  The same teacher also had a Menorah in the classroom.  It started out more as a joke to call it a Hanukkah Bush, and the name just stuck.  Some teachers just stood out by their actions and ended up teaching much more than just the subject on the door of the room.
