Here's an example. All clubs will pay us what we ask which is $1200.00 for 2 nights. They will advertise in the newspaper, on the local cable channel and on their marquee. We have been around the local circuit for almost 4 years now and draw excellent crowds wherever we go. The club owner I talked about doesn't feel that he should pay the normal rate for our band who can be seen as individuals around our area. So he hires crappy bands from outside our area. I have spoken to him that we are in a better position to promote the gig just by living in the area but got nowhere. I just think his business ideas are not very progressive and I feel like I'm talking to a wall. My apologies for the rant.
