Hi Everyone,This is all new to me, so please be patient.  My husband and I have been involved in Karaoke for about 12 years.  We started our own business about 4 years ago, and have learned a lot about the industry, from which types of discs are the best to sound engineering basics to be able to create the best possible sound for our singers, but I'm sure there is a whole lot that we can still learn about as well. I've seen some of the postings on this site and I am very impressed with the technical knowledge that you people have, I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you in the future. Speaking of learning, can anyone tell me about the CAVS JB199/250 machine.  I see alot of them on EBay and I'm curious about how they sound and if they have a tendency to crash or anything.  It's a lot of money to put out if they're not going to last.  Also is there a legal issue with these machines, copyrite etc.  Thanks for any input. I appreciate it. Megan

Welcome Megan, listen to Sheree the Wise, Technical Forum will give you all the answers you'll need! lol

But I can already tell you that personally I'd choose CAVS only if I had Super CDG's. I don't have those and since they're already old technology I'd stick to the cheaper models for playing discs! I mean why buy Super CDG's when you can create your own library on a laptop from the CDG's that you already have. Good choice as a basic desktop player for example would be RJtech RJ-4100 or RJ-4200.
