Ive been told that the sound quality of scdg's is not as good as on cdg's, Is this true? Also does anyone have any experience with protective covers (skins) for cdg's.

SCDG is basically mp3 quality.  Some say they can noticeably tell the difference, most can not especially turned up & in a loud bar environment to begin with.  If you were sitting in a nice quiet room, you may be able to tell a slight degradation, but nothing that's going to ruin the music - however the companies that produce the SCDG discs right now are little something left  to be desired.  The Chartbuster country are worth the price but their pop/rock isn't that great.  The Nu-Techs aren't worth the media they are printed on.  Not sure if THM is putting them out yet or not, but they are generally worth it.

hey lon, love your tagline/disclaimer... maybe several of us who dispense alot of the tech advice should add taglines similiar to that to avoid any sense of promoting a particular product or any association with a particular manufacturer... just a thought..- tig
