OK, couple of ground rules:

1) No custom CDG discs or home built compilations.

2) Sound Choice 8125 Eagles is out too (damn, that makes it harder).

============================

My favorite disc in my collection is hard, but I'd have to say its Backstage Karaoke 5147. I know, I know BSK isn't that great of quality and some of the tracks are not the greatest, but I love to sing just about every song off of that disc. So if I could only have ONE Karaoke disc on the planet to sing off of for the rest of all time, and they would take away by Sound Choice custom discs - well that would be the one I'd keep.

So many songs, so little time! Well, it I had to choose just 1 disc (and it couldn't be one of my own Custom made/compiled discs), I guess it would have to be SC 8472. The music on that disc is known by just about everyone, and I always get good mileage out of its use.

Well this is kind of inline with 8125, but mine is 8148. 10 out of 15 songs I sing. It's also the most used disc at my show as well.

I checked out what is on the disc, and the content is very similar to my BSK disc - hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm...may have to make an addition to the collection now.

Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm

Good luck, it's been out of print for some time as well. That's why I said it was kind of inline with the 8125.

This disc was actually a Standing Ovation originally. SO207. Backstage bought them out (some still say they were the same company). I have this disc in both my systems as well. Many of the songs have been replaced in my main system though.

Isn't it amazing the difference of music requested in different parts of the country. I have never had anyone sing any of the songs on the above disc's. I also don't remember hearing anyone sing any of them at other venues. (OKC to KC to St.Louis to Little Rock).

Do you or any of the other shows HAVE any of the above mentioned discs? If not, that could be a big reason why you never heard them :lol:

Yep, got them,,, never been requested. Never heard them sang, but like you said I'm unsure if they were available at the other venues.

You just don't hear Nirvana & REO in between the Martina McBride & George Strait around here.

I would think if you're hosting Tacoma you have a wide mix of music, due to the very large military presence in the area. I can have singers and standards, classic rock, country, alternative, and modern pop with some seventies sprinkled in any given evening.

Oddly enough I don't get a very large military crowd - a handful here & there. But we do get darn near every genre sung although the main is still country & classic rock, although we are starting to get a fairly heavy rocker crowd lately. Never had opera done - & really am not too hurt about that :wink: .

I'm very surprised if you've never heard anyone sing "Time Warp." SC8472 is the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" disc.

There use to be this guy that would come in to a place I would sing at, he was very creepy, very rude to the staff, and looked JUST LIKE RIFF-RAFF!

Every time he would come in, upon the bartenders pleading we would immediately put in the Time Warp and three of us would sing it.
