erica i would put this same thread in the technical questions forum as well, the people who use that side seem to know what they are talking about and i am sure will take the time to get your sound working well

good luck.

Hi Erica,

What you need is a Key Controller, which will change the key up or down to suit your voice. Buy yourself a Karaoke CD Player, they all have key changers on them. You connect it to your sound card use your echo on the sound card or work with the echo on the player, and away you go.

Cheers,

Peter :D

errr??? not all karaoke players have key changers.

the majority of the GOOD ones do. There are plenty of off-brands that don't!

I'm going to venture that the volume is too low and not the key?

If you double click the speaker on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen you can adjust the sound properties (you may have to change to the recording properties - Options/Properties/Recording).

If you can clarify whether it's a volume or a key problem it would help to be more accurate in answering your question.
