Danny... have you tried using the KV or SBI .cdg file with the SC mp3 file? Oh no?!?!? Did I just open up another can'o'worms? (I'm gonna go try this now) Oh and SC also put it out on Star Series 2269 with - 'Round my mind

So... no go. SC's file has no audio until 8 seconds in and the KV file starts immediately. Also when you account for the delay, the SC is 4 seconds longer with the audio ending at 4:34 versus 4:22 for the KV.

Then you put both mp3's into Audacity and add the same amount of silence to the beginning of the KV track to start when the SC track starts - or vice versa and remove the silence in the SC track.

I use CDGFix and I can shorten or lengthen the grapic file, and I can shorten the audio file. I can also add some timing packets to keep everything in sync.

There ya go Danny... a couple of workarounds that would get you the preferred backing track and the correct lyrics.
Audacity and CDGFix.

Interesting .... where can I find CDGFix to evaluate? Also can it handle a graphics file whose structure is different, i.e. Verse, Verse Chorus, Bridge vs Verse, Verse Chorus, Verse, Bridge?

That's just it, I have the SBI track. I like it just the way it is. Why on Earth would I like to change it?

I thought that your preference was for the SC audio. The SC audio is good for those who like the album sound but I prefer the live feel that the SBI and the Karaoke Version audio provides better. Kind of why I prefer the Legends version of Send Her My Love.

I know there are numerous SC tracks with incorrect lyrics that I seemed to think that they didn't get permission for. Elvis Presley-Burning Love is a track that needs to be redone as far as the audio for it. The drums need to stand out more. Ice Cream Man-Van Halen (KV) is a lot better the (SC) version. This is coming from a huge Van Halen fan.

Incorrect lyrics are nothing more than bad interpretations.

Just like "We're An American Band"-Grand Funk Railroad (SC). The second verse says; "Welcome To Tina's in Omaha" when it should say; "Four Young Chiquitas in Omaha".

Earl wrote: Nothing to do with the music quality, but it still bugs me that the Sound Choice version of Tom Jones "Green, Green Grass of Home" says "For there's a GOD, and a there's a sad old padre", when it should be "For there's a GUARD and there's a sad old padre... Maybe whoever it was that was interpreting the lyrics was from New England.
