Just wondering if it's legit?

This is totally legit. Sunfly has joined as the Global Content Partner, providing licensed tracks, hardware giveaways and free streaming trials.

The competition is a worldwide online event, with Live finals.

This years finals are to be held in Las Vegas in November and there is already a leaderboard online, with legitimate entrants competing to win the World Championships

They want me to promote WKT on karaoke nights. Good to know.

Even if it is legit, I won't participate in it because I don't do singing competitions. It kills regular Karaoke nights. Raffle give aways yes. Talent contests no. While you may get a lot more people who come during the contest, you get more people pissed of enough to not want to come back because either the judges pick either a close personal friend of the bar owner under the bar owner's orders or some hot looking chick that the judges want to take to bed with them, all the while the regulars who aren't there for the contest are getting upset because they are not getting their singing time.

that's the thing, it's not live judges, the singers record themselves at a venue and submit it to the WKT website along with an entry fee. (It sounds a little odd) because Singsnap.com is free

I also like contests that get singers to choose something that they would normally not pick on their own. I won a contest where you had to guess what the secret song was based on cryptic clues given the week before.
