Hi folks! Thanks for letting me join in! I recently bought an Acetronix dgx-213. I liked the ability to rip CDG's to a drive. Anyway, I had a few MP3+G files I was running on it and they worked fine. They were Chartbuster titles. I then ran into a bunch of other chartbuster titles where the sound was about 5 seconds behind the words. Every song in the group was like that. I wanted to check to see what might cause this? I can return the player within 30 days. I was thinking that maybe the files were not created correctly. Wanted to be sure my player is ok before my 30 days is up.

Just re-rip your chartbuster titles at a slower speed. you can set your player to rip at 1x to 4x speed, Try an online CDG ripper software choosing a higher quality (320 bit rate)

I went ahead and returned the player. About half of the files I tried were out of sync or simply stopped all together. The same files seemed to play fine on a PC when I tried them, so now my focus is on converting a HTPC computer into a Karaoke machine. Now the challenge is settling on the software to use. :)

for home use Karafun would be acceptable. For Pro use I would suggest you try all the demos and go with the one that fits your needs.
