Here is a suggestion. This song hasn't been done yet. Maybe it is in the works somewhere, maybe not.

Cut The Cord - Shinedown

Actually several of the singers that I know from several karaoke haunts here in alberta are HUGE shinedown fans and would definitely sing that if it were produced.

Thanks for the suggestion. We're already in discussions with the two publishers who handle that song, so we might be able to include it.

For me personally, there are still at least 400 songs I had planned on purchasing when I could afford them before the custom site at clark went down

Speaking of Clark, I bought only one custom disc from them. I'd like to know if it's legal to use those tracks in our shows.

Clark did custom discs for multiple producers, not just SC, but I can tell you that Clark was licensed to produce karaoke tracks under the SC trademark in Australia, and I believe that all license fees were paid to the appropriate authorities in that country, so yes, as far as we're concerned, you are welcome to use those tracks on the same terms as you are authorized to use material from any original SC disc.

It was stated back in 08 or so by Sound Choice (may be able to find the thread but i'm on my phone now) and even directly on Clarks website until they closed that the customs were considered 'original' discs even though they were custom burns.

Getting back on thread here...

Any updates on the production list? I'd like to know id anything has been locked in as definite, or if any new tracks were added.

Thanks!

Hoping to have an update for you mid-week, but no promises. We've got a lot going on this week.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with you there.... there a LOTS "of promises" (just finding the unbroken ones is the difficulty.)

We'll update the number from time to time on the website.
And I don't think that this has ever happened...

So.... your customers want to know "how close" you are to providing them with a product or a refund...

Bottom line is in my belief and opinion... Sound choice makes the best quality out there if the studio keeps making "old" songs and releasing them as new, the market will fade and many will have wasted their time and effort in making them and marketing them.

SoundChoice has not only the best quality but they also have the best name... Utilize this and release NEW 2015 and on content and watch them/us flock to the sales window.

Focus *Focus *Focus

P.S. don't put us in the trap where you have to buy an album to get just 2-3 good songs.

Recommendation: I think SoundChoice (Pep) should get with the times and have a Downloads site like many of the new companies. You're losing millions of dollars in revenue.

I myself prefer the Subscription based option but many others prefer downloads over CDG disks.

No what they need to focus on IMO is releasing 'old' songs (back catalog 70's-2000's) that people are asking for that have never been released - anywhere. These are the ones that will have staying power for most over the new flavor of the week hits that are dead as soon as they hit the airwaves.
Like karaoke.net just made about 15 or so new requests (from this forum alone) of songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's & early 2000's that are very requested but never made - until now.

I am with Lonnie on this one.

If I were Kurt, I would use the Sound Choice name to produce older music that was never made. We already have several companies producing current hits and fighting for their place in the market. Carve out a niche of producing older songs with Sound Choice quality.

Perhaps I am wrong about this, but I assume that licensing for current, hot hits will get more scrutiny and probably cost more than digging for some of the older hits that aren't as popular. Though I can see it taking longer to contact people for older hits as rights may have changed hands more than once over time.
