So when the annoucement that PEP planned to release some new music, my first instinct was to lean towards "I'll believe it when it actually happens" but after all the trouble Jim and Brian went to to get me a GEM series, i tried to be a little more optomistic and positive.
So then i read about how if we kicked in we'd get to vote on the new album and i genuinely started to get excited, to the point where i actually started to get excited.
Of course there were several people who told me that it would never happen, and that they would probably come up with some excuse. i made several snarky comments to Mr. Staley and others, that i wasn't sorry for at the time, but i said if i ended up being proven wrong, i would apologize.
So here it is.. As much as I hate to admit it, it looks like Mr. Staley's predictions of the advance program failing miserably have come to fruition..
So as promised, i would like to officially apologize for my previous comments. you were right and I was wrong. Thank goodness i didn't bet that money after all *lol8
now if you'll excuse me, i have go wash my 'mouth' out with soap.
cheers
-James

There's nothing to apologize for, the world is full of snarky..... jclaydon wrote: So here it is.. -James Actually, the program isn't dead yet. It certainly is on life support, but there is still a pulse. And to be fair, SC did not make any excuses. They manned up and said they didn't get enough people to sign up. I can certainly understand the disappointment. I actually wanted this to work for you guys.

I believe the program is dead. The offer (from their lead attorney) is an offer of a completely NEW program -- and brand new set of rules, methods and customer base. The only aspect that ties this new program to the old, is that they'd like to hang on to the money that was sent in under the "old rules" and convert it as funding for the "new rules." The real questions are (1) how many that have sent in money will take the offer and (2) how long will it take to get it fufilled? (or will they hope you forget you sent them money?)

OK, technically you are correct and I should have worded it better. Of course I was referring to the possibility of generating new material when I used the word program. So the point I wanted to make is that the possibility of new music isn't dead yet.

Ok just for the record, I am severely disapointed, but that does not mean i have given up COMPLETELY yet. Over all, i am still insanely happy with my GEM purchase, it would just have been really nice to have some new music that wasn't available anywhere else, that's the main reason why i signed up for this, and for the moment it looks like that ain't gonna happen and THAT is what i am expressing my discontent over. Motreover, no matter how personally distastefull i may personally find something, I ALWAYS try to keep my word to the best of my ability. I said i would apologize and admit i was wrong, so i did. I didn't say it was going to be a SINCERE apology

I didn't say it was going to be a SINCERE apology James, we're sorry we weren't able to meet your expectations. You'll get a full refund if that's your choice, and when we do eventually succeed at getting back into the new production market, we hope you'll give us another shot.

Jim, thank you very much for that, it is apreciated. However, i will not be askng for a refund, and if I can somehow swing it financially, i may even support your crowdfunding efforts here are the resons why 1. 12 credits for songs would be awesome for when new music does eventually get produced. I am hoping that i might be able to use some of them to eventually purchase songs that i wasn't able to obtain from clark. 2. I want AS MANY North American karaoke companies to succeed as humanly possible, if that means losing a $30 investment as a risk, that is a risk i am willing to llive with 3. I would love to see PEP get back to a situation that was close to sounchoice's glory days. I have stated this before, but I want to see PEP sponsoring major karaoke events, doing regular contests and giving away valuable stuff to those people who followed the rules and supported them from the beginning. 4. Finally the most selfish reason is that I am hoping that in the future, PEP will be in a position to help KJs such as myself in those areas of business that i lack skills in.. Namely marketing and promotion. i'm hoping that they will be able to work with their loyal supporters to help them locate and keep gigs that will support the kind of business that kj wants to run by providing leads where possible and materials that will help with the approach process/sales pitch. if you happen to find someone who can program and can create an app that has a kiosk that will work on ANY platform, has the features of karaoq (social media, push notifications etc* without a bump feature and has a download store like tricerasoft built into it now THAT would be something i would support and promote to the ends of the earth/get behind. I really do wish you and PEP the best of luck. -James

Hey Jim, tell the producers that if they want to make great sounding music, please lay off the Compression. They were over compressing everything after a while!! The sound became awful!!
