I did a gig on Friday, covering for someone, and it's a nice place that me and the misses sometime pop along for a drink to and have a sing. The gig itself was 5 'till 9, strange hours I know but that's how it is, if it's busy then you just keep going until everyone's gone. To cut a long story short, it was a dull dull night, hardly anyone in, none of the usual people were in and I'd packed up and was done for 9pm with only me and the missis and the barman in the place. Things are becoming worringly dull in my town. Local super markets selling 20 cans of beer for £10 makes it difficult to hand over £3.50 for a pint!!!!! All pubs in and around the town are dead, I'm only hanging on to my gear for gigs at home for the few weekends of "summer" we get here.
Will it ever recover?
