I know that this is an old topic, but I felt inspired by a post Chris Avis made:

chrisavis wrote:
I have a bunch that have piled up through acquisitions. I have never used them simply because spot checks indicate that I already have the tracks from another more preferred vendor. Also, since I have never seen anything other that Pioneer and Playboy video karaoke at any show, I figure they probably aren't very good or I would have seen them elsewhere by now.

Hmmmm....now it gets me thinking that I should take a look at them so we can have a "bad karaoke songs" night.....

One of my favorites is "I've Never Been to Me" on Pioneer (I think the code was 8-B-2), or, as I like to call it, "The Barbie Doll Song."
Quote:
I've been undressed by kings and I've seen some things that a woman ain't supposed to see
Ken is all over Barbie during that part of the song.

Another video I love is "Midnight Confessions" on Pioneer. I love when the News Anchorman is being dragged away after professing his love to a Co-Anchorwoman.

I haven't seen that many, but I do like the Pioneer video for Steely Dan's "Do It Again". It actually sort of fits and they did a decent job on the track.

I like the Pioneer laserdisc video for Patience by G n F'n R:

The video shows a couple in various locations and the guy's paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Patience......get it? Except I'm pretty sure no amount of Patience is going to make that guy walk again.....or put up with Axel Rose.

I also like the Pioneer laserdisc video for My Way by Frank Sinatra:

The video is centered around two groups of people: A male and female mime and a male and female midget. The setting is Coney Island, NY.

While Sinatra imparts his egocentric wisdom about always sticking to his proverbial guns, the video depicts these mimes and midgets as lovers who are apparently having problems finding each other on Coney Island. Of course they all meet up in the end and share a laugh before the video ends under the assumption that they are about to all go make an elaborate 80s-style mime/midget groupsex porno. And the moral of the story is:

In the days before cell phones, life on Coney Island really sucked for midget and mime couples.....and The Mayor likely eats at Burger King.

You must have the re-release version. The original video is about an old clown magician that magically becomes young throughout performing tricks & a clown kid on the boardwalk. Then the older clown gets old again at the end.

Another one I always got a laugh out of was Pioneer's version of "Blue Bayou"... especially the ending, where the guy on the pier has a woody.

I only remember a Mime on the boardwalk by Coney Island in that video. I don't remember any midgets.

Edit (after seeing TopherM's post): I forgot about that 2nd Pioneer Video of "My Way"... the one with the old man smoking a cigar while a young couple dances.

I remember seeing one at a club in Los Angeles years ago...I have no idea who put it out, or even what song it was, but I remember seeing STEVE BUSCEMI (Crazy Eyes from Mr. Deeds) in it! You have piqued my curiosity...anyone here have any clue what it was???
