Kate Yeager from the local Fox News affiliate filmed a segment at The Spunky Monkey Bar & Grill last Friday and they will be showing this morning. Kate did some bartending and karaoke!!

That was very nice how they gave you an honorable mention like that at the end of the story.

The segment was ok, but I wish the owner would have shown some pictures of what the place was like before the make-over (that was mentioned). The reporter didn't even go into any details of what the makeover entailed. IMO it made the story a little bit lacking by just hearing the Owner and Bartender saying "It really needed it.", without showing something to compare that "IT" to, and it just made the place look like your everyday ordinary busy bar.

It was a bit anti-climactic.

The Restaurant Impossible episode airs on the Food Network on Jan 15th. That is where they will show the before and after. I am anxious to see it because I had never been to the bar before the makeover. We got the call to do karaoke AFTER the remodel and taping occurred.

The shout out was cool, but not entirely accurate. My host donated his tips for the night and pay for the week (including his Christmas bonus). He does not donate all pay, every week.
