Hi Gang,

Anyone using these JBL speakers? Heard them at a local shop, and they sound great in there...just wondering how they are/would be on a gig.

Other speakers I have been considering as I build my system are the JBL JRX 115's. Anyone care to compre thes models?? and feedback on other comparable speakers would be appreciated, also.

BTW, thinking of driving these with a QSC RMX 1850.

many thanx to all who have responded to my previous post and pointed me in the right direction!

Thanx,
Tank

The JRX is an entry level speaker which they tried to model after their SR series. The sound quality is almost similar, however they did sacrifice power handling in order to keep costs down.
They do sound good & the RMX1850 will be ok for powering them, although they would be happier & sound cleaner with the RMX2450.

Hey man,

thanx for the rec on the JRX's, especially since you are the one that recommended to me in the first place! :)

But, what aobut those EON 1500's?? have u heard them? how do they compare to the JRX's?? I sure do like their light weight, but would I be giving up any noticable sound quality?? Their cost is $700 per pair, as opposed to $600 for the JRX's....but the JRX specs seem to be a little better. Local shop only had the EON's in stock, so I couldn't do a side by side comparison.

Watchatink?

thanx

Tank

I've heard them. The sound is ok. They don't sound as good as their powered version, less bass response.
