Finally got a decent camera and some half way decent photos. (the pic shows about 1/3rd of the crowd but we pack them in) If you are on dialup it takes awhile to load but the singers shown are some of the regulars and there 90% of the time. What do they sing?  The old stuff although I am getting some new songs for them now. They are awesome and I have never had so much talent at a show in my life. We usually have the graphics on the big screen but we changed back to the 50 foot snake and I couldnt find the xlr to rca adapter.

Now if you could just take a vidcam and set it up so that the singers image was projected behind them on that huge TV while they were singing--then youd have a REALLY COOL GIMMICK! Ive seen that done at a bar in Vegas that was L-Shaped wehre the people in the corner couldnt see the singers. It was pretty cool acutally.

I think the name of the place was Boulder Station Casino.

Where I had been KJ'ing I did that--took an old Sony Handycam vidcam and set it on a tripod then connected the yellow video into the ditribution system. We had karaoke words on 4 monitors and the singer's live image on 3 throghout the bar. I was also albe to use a remote control on the cam so I could zoom in and get close-up headshots so it would look just like American Idol on TV. It was a VERY COOL EFFECT!.  The camera I got at a used electronics store for only 20$ as the tape recording function didnt work--but the video and cam and focus were as clear as a bell--VERY NICE SIGNAL. It was really cool when the dance floor filled with dancers too---then i'd have up a screem full of people dancing. I also hooked it up with a ABC switch box and switch it with a DVD player that would play a slide show of advertisements and random bar pics of people that we would play in between that we created from takeing pictures and sign making on photoshop. Made for a really unique and different video presentation---not just sports programming with no sound or just karaoke words but live singers and a slide show advertising program.
