Anyone ever thought of having one song and EVERYONE (that wants to of course) sends their track to one person for mixing.

Basically turning us all into a choir... would anyone be interested in that?

Good idea; and not too early for a few X'mas songs.

I've thought about it several times Maggie but finding the time for an undertaking of that kind of magnitude can be extremely daunting not to mention taking the time to try and divide all the parts out etc.

What say we try and come up with a suggestion for Christmas tho?  Will be a big production for sure

Tammy used to do that when she was here. Geez, I forgot what her screen name was when she was here. (she's runs KSK with Danny) But her and Kass did alot of duets, and once she threw together a christmas song with little snippets of people singing different parts- I think it was silent night. I recall she was going to do "I'd like to teach the world to sing"... but my memory is failing (i'm a grandma now, yanno).. I can't recall if that one ever came to fruition.

Christmas songs are a cool idear Magz.

Hi sweetie, Yes, this is fun, because when I was on another site a few years ago, I put all this together.

My favorite song and artist is a dear friend of mine, Mr. David Bowie, and  I thought about doing something with my fav/ song from him, and a dear friend thatwrote  back n 1972 and David and Lou Reed  brought it back to life:!surely was 'One Perfect Day' that I shall never forget:)

I hadmany people send me their 'line' (sung if u will) and a lady took all of so many people's lines and spliced it together and it came outperfectly!~ I sent it on to David,he was flabergasted with excitement and told everyone that they did their part great!~

So, I know what you are talking about. Yes, it is fun, and a lot of work. But I had some help and it came out like 'One Perfect Day' indeed :):)

Love, DEE

Some of the same people who have been on this site maybe remembers what consprired--sheer energy :):) Thanks for  thinking about it hun, I've been wanting to ask if anyone would like to join in : 'Jesus Christ Superstar'...Now that is the biggest prodiction in history(thanks Cathi), I'm sure you would agree.that would be such a great-spirit filled Christmas !~

How about "we Are The World."  Plenty of different parts to go around.

Scott.

thats weird i was just thinking about that..we used to do that a lot a few years ago..it was really fun.i think what would be really fun is a thing like Tag...i take a song, lay down one or 2 lines then pass it to someone else, who passes it when they are done..the only problem is keeping the mix from deteriorating with impropper mixing..it does seem however that everyone is pretty good at mixing..the problem i had with the other way is one person would decide who sang what line then mix it themselves after everyone sent in there part..i got stuck with some lines i was uncomfortable with..anyways, its fun no matter how its done and we are the world is a good one..actually i thought "the day the music died would be cool cause theres like 5 verses to that song...and everyone could sing the chorus together..good luck though and let me know if you do it cause i would love to be part of it !!
