I am not much for McDonalds, Wendys, and Burger king type restaurants, but find myself going to them out of convenience. I am so tired of french fries, Yuck! Why does everything come with fries. I loved when McDonalds added their Yogurt parfaits, but then they down sized them and put more sugar in them. Is it so hard for fast food restaurants to find healthy foods to serve that will sell? Aaarg!
I did come across a new fast food restaurant that is awesome, but they are hard to find. They are called Baja Fresh. It is a healthy spin on mexican style food.
Are you guys as sick of greasy old fries as me?

Yes, I always swear I'm not going to them anymore, but then... lunch time finds me in a big rush to do a million things, and I find myself in the drive through.
I am SO sick of burgers & fries, and tacos & tater tots, and all that blah-blah. I'd like to discipline myself to bring healthy lunches from home, but it's always an "Okay, NEXT week, I SWEAR I'm gonna do this" type thing.
And as we speak, I'm headed out the door to cram all I can into my lunch break, and I'm sure lunch will consist of Burgerville. (but... I prefer onion rings over fries) LOL

I don't buy fries. In fact I try not to do fast food except maybe Subway. I even stay away from soft drinks as much as I can. Maybe three a week.
I do like soft shelled tacos from Taco Bell once in awhile.

I adore Steak N Shake. As a diabetic, I can't have the shakes, of course, but they have the BEST fries. Very tiny, thin fries. Like what used to be served at the malt shops in the fifties and sixties.
The burgers are awesome. LOVE the Steakburgers.
There's a really good Chik-fil-A franchise you should try. Absolutely the best chicken sandwiches anywhere!

If I had to pick my favorite fries - hands down Steak & Shake !
I'm more of a chicken gal than beef though.
I went to Subway tonight for dinner. I need to go shopping.

You can order a BK Whopper, and go from about 620 calories to about 400, by just holding the mayo.....same thing with many chicken sandwiches. You can be a total vegan, and still gain weight if you take in too many calories......a watched pot never boils, and most people can not let their bodies tell them how much to eat. Most of us come from ancestors that lived a feast or famine existence......I found a web site, that tells you how many calories you should need for the day.....I take in twice as many, as it says I should......and I'm still hungry.....if I can find it again I'll post it......that said....truth is...if it wasn't for fast food, no one would cook for me...also, I never tasted a french fri I didn't like...... ![no ](./images/smilies/emot-shakehead.gif)

Sick of fries? God, no! If only I was, maybe I'd stop growing this spare tire. Truth is, I love junk food of almost any kind. I even occasionally crave Long John Silver's even though the whole place smells like grease. (No White Castle, though. Yuck.)
Love burgers, fries, soda pop. I'm a terrible example for my kids, who so far are not at all overweight or unhealthy. As they get older I'll probably have to sneak out to get my junk food fix so as not to ruin their futures.

I try to avoid fast food places...but...ugh...every so often, I REALLY want Burger King fries...and once the holidays come around...the eggnog shake at Jack in the Box is my downfall....if I'm running and need to grab food, I try to go to Wendy's for an Asian Chicken Salad (of course, those aren't really supposed to be much healthier than anything else they sell), Subway, or In & Out - no bun! Usually, I can ignore the fries. The longer I go without eating fast food, the easier it is to turn it down.

Well since they do not allow children to possess or use tobacco products or alcohol they should also ban them from fast food since obesity is the largest medical problem among children.

McDonalds has apples in a bag which taste like plastic - yuck! And it is targeted for something healthy for the kids to choose. I think they can do better than that.

French Fries.. Bleh.. i gave them up almost 10 years ago.. A waste of money because I would only eat 2 or 3.. I usually only get a sandwich and nothing to drink and no fires. It is hard to order just a sandwich anymore.. The people taking the order, many times, do not understand.
I do prefer a Subway or a bean burrito from taco bell. If I could find a good vegetarian place to get fast food that's where I would be.. Being vegetarian in Texas is not easy.. Too much beef and chicken around and not any restaurants that have things on the menu to eat.. You can only eat so many salads.....
While in Montreal I found a place that was a vegetarian buffet.. It was awesome.. I just wish I could remember the name of it....
So no... I don't eat fries anymore.

You don’t like French fries?? French fries are like...little salty sticks of heaven.
We have a fast food place called El Pollo Loco. Flame broiled (citrus-marinated) chicken with beans, rice, tortillas and salsa. Very good stuff! I’m not sure how many states have these franchises. Best and healthiest fast food I've found.
Very hungry now...

I try to stay away from the fast food places as I am way over weight (FAT) and am trying to finally lose the extra avoirdupois. I find that cutting out potatoes helps, but I am hopelessly addicted to tater chips. I got up to 476 lbs (Oh My Gawd, whatta fat arse) and now am down to 421. I do like Culver's as far as fast food goes. Knightshow, I'm diabetic as well and we really shouldn't have the potatoes.

I hate fries!! In my line of work it's hard to stop for regular meals of any kind though.....and no truck-stops thank you. Unless it has a Subway.
I like the chicken sandwiches from BK with the mayo, but always pass on the fries. No caffeine either, so a large decaf in the morning or a Sprite with dinner.
I drink alot of Gatorade and bottled water all day long out in the heat, and usually drink that with dinner also.
Taco Bell is better than any fast food joint IMO.
Since I'm at a shopping mall when my job is finished, I'll check out some chinese or japanese food before leaving.
One evening I had some grilled steak & mushrooms poured over noodles with a side of brocolli from the jap place that was pretty good.
And sometimes I hit up the italian joint for some lasagna or spinach pizza....mmmmm. ![LOL LOL](./images/smilies/emot-LOL.gif)

Here's that article. A few years ago, my wife went on weight watchers, and I looked at the diet. I could see the caloric intake was too low, and I warned her about it. I told her, it was geared for quick results, and long term success was minimal. Well, she lost 30 or 35 pounds, and they kept giving her certificates of success....mind you, each visit was between 10 to 15 bucks to use their scale. Well, after stopping, she gained back the 30, plus about a bonus of 10lbs, in about half the time it took to lose the 30. This chart is too low in my opinion....maybe it's for Ethiopians.....my point, which I lost along the way.... ![lol lol](./images/smilies/emot-LOL.gif) ...is you can eat fast food, including french fries....if you choose wisely, and in moderation......I never met a frie I didn't like

I love fries, except it's probably the worst thing for you, combination of carbs, salt and fat. Three things you should avoid.
Most of the fries from fast food is just ok. I do love In N Out burger fries. Something about them, just fresh potatoes fried in hot oil with just the right salt. Mmmm.
BTW, those of your who may not be familiar with In N Out, they have the best burgers and fries. People used to take the bumper sticker that said
In N Out
Burger
and take out the B and the r from Burger and stick it on the car and drive around. This was something from the 90s.
