I have a few general Winamp questions for Karaoke use.

1) Can you create separate folders for individual artists, so that you can expand or collapse as needed?  Winamp's media library is listing all the songs from a given artist.  It would be nice to be able to scroll through the artists and then expand an artist folder to see the individual songs.

2) Can you set up separate folders in the media library for Karaoke and standard non-Karaoke media so that you would not have the media mixed in a single list?  Or, would you need to manually clear and reload the media library if you only want a single type of media to be displayed?

3) Can you create a printable song list from the media library (or some other way in Windows)?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I don't know that any of the things you are talking about are part of Winamp's media library. As far as I know, it catalogs ID1/2 tags and organizes on that basis, not on a folder basis. And the database is not partitioned as far as I know, nor do I know of a songbook capability.

Those types of functions are what a karaoke hoster does, along with maintaining something like a playlist / rotation.

There may be other plugins for Winamp that do that type of thing, but I don't know what they are.

Thanks guys!

Karyoker, that list function is exactly what I was looking for.  I can simply drag my whole karaoke media library to the playlist, then generate the html list for printing...perfect...will make it very easy for folks at my house to browse for songs while one is playing.
