I hope I didn't offend him by getting stirred up over in the "You don't know what applause is until" post.  At times he gets me going, but hes a great guy, and I seriously hope he doesn't get offended by strong reactions to his often baiting posts.

<OK,   Ollie,  If I offended you I'm sorry,  now come back so I can kick your old fart butt some-more>

Still no sign of Ollie?

I bet he got to drinking and singing to the cows... and fell asleep out in the barn;)

If so, give him about a week, he'll resurface.

(seriously tho... hope everything is kosher with him)

WB Ollie  :worship:

That's the part that sucks about getting older.  I LOVE to build, and do light construction (room additions) which means A LOT of hammer, screw-driver use, sheetrocking, etc..   It's amazing how things such as using handtools DO and especially a day of Dry-walling take their tool on the hands, arms especially back and neck as we age..  In fact,  it sucks !

Framing is hard work, and heavy work.  I've done my share but not of that magnitude.  Just home additions. and add-on rooms, basement finishing, etc.
THat looks like a blast,  love the pix,  and no wonder you are sore !  Sheeesh,  how many splinters do you have ?

Yea Ive hung sheet rock and textured. That was before screws and totally got wore out nailing off. Framing now isnt bad with nail guns but this shed will take sixteen penny nails in the 2X6 girts.

Yeah,  for that you'd still be using the 12x4 3/4 inch Sheetrock too.   That's friggin heavy to carry up a ladder.  I used to have to walk up a ladder with the two-packs of 4x8 1/2 inch sheetrock,  and at 45 that stuff gets heavy, for residential use it's just 4x8 sheets now,  I think for larger commercial use they still use the 12x4 foot sheets, that's heavy at .75 inch since it's tough to balance.  Yeah,  it used to all be nails. Now it's just a drill/driver and screws.  but that joint compound dries the #))# out've your hands, and sanding that stuff when you're asthmatic does a number after a few weeks of heavy exposure to rock dust.   Somehow I love it though,  when I'm drywalling my minds at peace..  Not sure why,  probably because it's like putting a puzzle together.. and sculpting

As rewarding as drywall can be (because the room is finally looking like a room) it's tough work, especially when working in a very small area. and having to bend some weird ways
