Hi All,
I've been running RoxBox with Zipped MP3/CDG files with great results. RoxBox uses Winamp as its sound engine.
I've been plugging the mic into the power amplifier, but I'd like to try running the mic through the computer for more voice effects.
Question: Will this work? Will the mic audio processing always cause delays that lag the MP3 music? Can I delay the MP3 music so it synchs with the processed mic audio? Or is this not a solution because the processed mic audio will lag the singer like a nasty echo?
Alternatively, should I be using Media Player with Karaoke plug-in instead? (I assume there are no processing time delay issues with this solution.)
Thanks for any help.
George

depends on your sound card.
Personally, I'd prefer the effects from a professional mixing board! Use the computer as the playing device only... use the audio gear for what IT'S used for!
