I'm listening to one of my favorite actresses/singers right now.. and I'm thinking this might be up your alley.. alot of the stuff I'm hearing on her newest CD on Yahoo Music Jukebox is bluegrass'ish.. and other really beautiful stuff...
Wonder if any of it will ever hit karaoke.. cuz you'd definitely be ace on any of it..
KassiE DePaiva... she's Blair on One Life To Live.. anyone else heard any of these songs? her newest CD "I want to Love you" Just came out it looks like..
The song that particularly made me think of Charmin was "Sneakers in a Dryer".. too cool.. she's got some of her stuff up on Myspace too..
anywhoooooo.. wasn't sure where to put it.. wondered if anyone else had heard it either.. and wanted to bring it to Charm's attention cuz we never say hi no more
oh yeah.. and this grey on black.. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrr

I was watching Victoria and Nicky Lord, Dr Polk, Meredith Wollack, and all those folks before many of you were born LOL .
I wonder how many days have passed since 1970 on "One Life to Live", and "General Hospital". I'd come home from Jr. High and was addicted to "One Life to Live". TV always went off at around 4 when "Dark Shadows" came on. Show was too depressing for me. Boring

Hey....... I saw this a while ago, and started to reply. But I was at my hubby's work and figured I best get off their computers before they got grumpy with me:) Lol
I have never heard of this person. I don't watch soaps, so I don't know her as an actress.
But, my curiosity is (naturally) boiling now, so I'm gonna go look her up. I have Yahoo Music Jukebox, so off I go.....
And, yeah, we need to chat sometime g/f... I miss seeing ya around.
(and I agree with Crystal... , while I think the words "summery and fresh" sound like a female hiegene commercial, , you look radiant in that avatar pic)
No offense meant to Crystal, that's just what popped into my head when I read that.

You threw me for a loop. You wrote Kassia..... and it's Kassie. LOL
I like what I hear so far, she's got some cool songs. OMG, the one "The Way You Look At Me" from her No Regrets album.... is about to make me bawl like a sissy girl. What a gorgeous song.
Any-who, back to listening to more;)

Okay....... now I'm listening to "That Boy Can Sing"...... I SWEAR I've heard this one recently on radio. The intro part about playing little league sounded familiar.
I like this one too, nice mandolin playing in it. :D
(am I gonna come in here and report on EVERY song?)
Nah, I'll try not to, promise;)

Good lord....... does she write her own songs? Cause if she does, this girls been down a trail of heartbreak. :(
I'm now listening to "Sorry But I Love You".
Thought I was gonna be okay on this one, until it got to the dayum chorus.
Now....
Dang near :crying2:
Haha, my hubby would surely whop me upside the head if he walked by the comp and I was crying with my headphones on. He just doesn't GET it how simple songs can do that to a person. But this one.... .... it's a good one.
Okay, back to listening:)
(i'm SO in here talking to myself, Lol)

Now... I'm on "Since You Said You Love Me".....
This gal, if she wrote these songs, is most defintely a big romantic at heart.
This is another gorgeous song, I think maybe my fav so far.
Thanks for turning me on to this gal Roxie, she really has some cool stuff.
(and my gosh.... wish it was her PIC that made ya think of me, how gorgeous is she? Man oh man, what a looker.... very pretty girl)

She's a mix of folk, bluegrass, and even some blues.
I'm now tuned into "Get on over here".... and it's my new fav of hers.
(i'm skimming down the list hearing about half of the songs whose titles draw me in, Lol...... aren't i strange?)
But I'm loving this one, I'm gonna listen to it all. I think, actually, I'm gonna download this cd, it's nice to hear some brand new music for a change.

*Lonely and Bein' Alone*....... new fav now.
Geez, that's even her best vocal performance I've heard of her so far. Beautiful song, but man can she ever sing the heartbreaker songs.
Funny, I don't normally sing mushy stuff like those ones, but they seem to be the ones that smack ya the hardest when you listen to them.
I prolly should quit talking to myself now, huh? :D

Last post here tonight... promise this time
" A Real Good Memory"..... gorgeous fiddle intro to that one. I like her use of bluegrass instruments.
The song you mentioned, that's a cute song, I like it.
It's more the style I'd be likely to sing, instead of all those mushy love songs. I mean, they're gorgeous songs, just not... me:) I try to stay away from singing those types.
Anyhow, again, thanks for throwing her name out there... I'm still gonna hang out and listen to her some more, may look her up on her website to read some about her. She almost has to have some kind of bluegrass upbringing.... I think anyhow.

well I'm sorry hon about that typo .. yeah it's KassiE.. not A ..
I read on her site that she had a hand in picking the songs out.. so I'm not sure that she's written them but they are really wow for the most part..
She's married to one of her former co-stars from the show.. James DePaiva.. and they've recorded at least a couple songs together in the past from what I found. I know they foresure have at least one kid if not more.. and I believe they had a child that has a major medical problem but for the life of me can't recall what the story is..
She used to be on another show I watch.. Guiding Light.. late 80s or so. On that show they featured her singing more.. but at least One Life To Live is FINALLY giving some of her music a chance and letting her sing on the show. It's always cool when they throw real artists from the show in singing. (IMHO)..
Hey Kappy ... yeah I really like OLTL.. AMC.. and GL.. and Y&R I used to tape everything.. thank goodness for soapnet .. now I just catch GL once in a blue moon.. I take break in the afternoon around the time GL is ending so I can at least once in awhile catch up on the last 10-15 min of the show
Charmin.. glad ya liked the music and yes.. actually.. there are similarities in the pic's too hon ... but my pea brain focuses more on music than looks ...
ok.. enough grey on grey.. and I got a major kick outta your reactions I loved that really

! none taken! That's actually what I thought of as I was hitting the "submit" button, but thought "meh! oh well.... she'll get my point"

I did like ALOT of her songs. I really... (don't hate me for stating so).... .... did NOT like her style of voice though, only on that one song I mentioned (lonely and bein' alone) . I did save some of her stuff, cause like I said... she's got some really cool songs.
Again, thanks for pointing her out. Kinda cool to hear someone I was unaware was even out there at all. And she does have some that are bluegrassy.
I went to her website, looked around, watched some videos & saw some pics. And G/F... there aint nothing about me resembles that girl. Charmin <------ not the *soap star* brand of gal;) LMAO
