No, he was saying that although some are of the mentality "Just because you don't do things MY WAY, it doesn't mean your way isn't a good way". We all know of people who are of the mindset, "there are two ways to perform a task, My way, or the wrong way." That doesn't pertain to this area. Not sure how many areas it actually may pertain to LOL
Of course there's always "Retail". Your method MIGHT be the correct way, but unless you continue doing things "the wrong way" (the way your boss trains you), you get fired :(

I host karaoke as a secondary source of income. Does that make me less of a KJ? :) Personally, I think the music itself makes the show. Good sound and smooth operation.
I take pride in my music knowledge. For many of the popular songs that people sing, I'll look up the artist on wikipedia so I have some interesting filler between singers. How many times have we tried to be funny and failed? I think a show where we have mic in hand gives us the power to bring the music to the masses, not just songs, but information, including who sings what. Of course as in any professions, the learning is none stop.
