Sorry if this has been covered before.

I have an option to play in an odd sized room/bar.

The bar is about 40 foot wide and 100 foot long.

Should I play mono with my speakers at each end of the room?

I would play mono in 99% of the rooms i've ever worked.  Stereo in karaoke clubs offer no real benefits.

I would probably still set up both speakers at one end of the room and run in mono either way. At 40x100, I would think that that would leave plenty of room for the karaoke singers to sit on the end of the bar where you are doing karaoke, and leave the other end of the bar for those who do not wish to participate. I think you would hurt your overall sound by having two speakers on either end of the bar pointing at each other. I would just focus on like 3/4 of one end of the bar, which you should be able to fill with good quality sound without a problem.

With an odd size room I would really look into purchsing a Bose L1 System. 2 L1 towers and 4 bass modules. The system would pay for itself. Mine has in less than 6 months. The $4600 is a great investment. I can charge upto $400 more just because I use the Bose Name. So even if you get an extra $50 a night for this gig it will pay for itself in a Year and a 1/2.
