As I am thinking over the matter of persuing an ongoing discussion about recommend tracks, it would be just as helpful to note tracks that should definitely be avoided (like the U2 track Tom encountered).

And, should we simply take a poll (yey or nay) of those who are familiar with a particular rendition of a song, or should we ask for narratives regarding the pros and cons of a particualr version?

Lastly, regarding Paranoid, I have only one other version and it's SGB.  The last line of lyrics is (almost) as Lonman says it should be; it ends:    but I'm too late.  Any opinions on this version?  I've listened to my downloaded version and musically SGB's version sounds right.

Eric,

A mix of a poll followed by a discussion similar to this will be good. For a week it will be pinned and unpinned when the next poll come in. We will see how it go.
you can even start it as soon as you ready with the song title.

It isn't the way I say it should end, it is the correct lyrics as you can plainly see from Black Sabbaths own site listing their lyrics.
As far as personal preference on versions, this is very subjective to ones own opinion - the I prefer the SC version over anything else i've heard to date.  I didn't care for the SGB version personally.

Lonman,

Sorry, I didn't intend to sound contrary.  You said you have downloaded the lyrics and I accept you have the correct ones.  I never paid any attention to this song in my life prior to Isis' posting.

In my last post I was noting that the only other version I have is STILL slightly wrong in the last phrase.  But in fairness to SGB, it is relatively closer than the All Hits version in that regard.

I stated that musically I like the SGB version because it sounds much like my download, and.... SGB denotes the version I have as LIVE.

By the time this thread is done, I'll know more about Paranoid than I had ever wanted to know!

What do you mean by that?

Why do you keep asking?

What's the point?

(Please let the record reflect sarcasm being used)
