For the Lexicon, you would need to hook it up to the exf send from the mixer to the input on the Lex.  From the output on the Lex I would actually patch it back into a channel - this gives you more options as eq or sending the signal to the monitor if you really want.  This will allow you to effect just the vocal, plus using the internal effects, you can also layer an effect over another effect.

Hey Lonnie, i've never heard of doing this.  I've got a Studiomaster 16x2 board which has two sets of effects in/out jacks, obviously allowing me to have two sets of FX.  Further I can set FX for each channel seperately.  I'm not sure i understand the benefit of patching the FX directly into a channel.  Would there be an advantage in my case or is that setup mainly for PA systems?

Thanks for all your help.  I hooked up the sub yesterday per Lonnie instruction.  The difference was enormous  .  My wife can't be happier, and there's no need to upgrade the S115V IMO.

ca ra ok,

Could you give me information about the M-Player?
I am very interested in getting one.

Thanks,

Skipper,

I just post another thread on the M-Player yesterday, "My new..... M-Player".  I am very happy with the machine.  I play DVD karaoke so far, and haven't tried CDG yet.  I brought a CDG disc with me on biz trip last week.  The technical guy there converted to what-ever format, my bad... I didn't ask, and it worked perfectly.  Their website:  www.baytechlive.com/viv/

I found out I paid more than the price in their website  :( ... maybe I bought it with the biggest HD.

The advantage of patching the effects back into a channel instead of the efx return are basically eq option for the effect, ability to send it to the monitor if needed, can do a layer effect or run 1 effect into another (if you run multiple effects) for a serial effect patch.  Only thing you have to be aware of is not to try to send - via the effects send - a signal BACK to itself.
Also it's obviously dependent on whether you have the extra channels available as well, if not, then patch them back through the efx return.

I use Crown XLS602 to drive my new JBL JRX118s.  Amp rated 600W RMS to 4 ohm (per channel) or 1680W bridged.  JBL, 4-ohm 350W RMS and 1400W peak, recommends 350-700W amp.  Can I damage the sub doing bridge?  Do I gain anything in basement karaoke?

With those specs, there is no need to bridge the amp.  You would seriously overdrive the speaker.
