I'm sure you were all wondering - gee what was Babs doing today?  LMAO

I spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to get out of the world's largest corn maze.  LMAO My 2 daughters, 2 of their friends and I were so lost ! After ending up in the same place 3 times we decided to follow another friendly group. An eleven year old boy lead us out. We had 8 adults in total and couldn't make heads or tails of the thing. It was amazing how this eleven yr old Boy Scout saved us all.

Here's a picture :   http://www.richardsonfarm.com/r-maze.htm

LMAO Orienteering is a wonderful skill to have!  Sounds like a lot of fun Babs.  Unfortunately we don't have anything like that up here ... corn won't grow in our climate.  I've always wanted to do it though.  Oh well, I guess I'll have to live vicariously through the exploits of others. :allears:

Orienteering is a skill, just like singing. I can't sing well but I have never been lost in the forest while at work. Even in a new area I can find my way back. The maze; that I must admit I have never try.

I am trying to make the worlds largest pile of corn, I'll post pics tommorow.

BTW...If you ever get lost in a maze, just keep turning the same way each time you come to a new opening, lest say TURN RIGT.  If it dead ends,, turn around and turn right at the next opening.

If you can remember the FIRST turn you took in the maze, and if you didn't go back over it, make your TURNING the opposite of that.

Make sense?

Wow, that is pretty cool. Around here, land is so expensive, no one would grow corn, let along create a maze like that. I mean even professional baseball teams are scrapping for land space so they can build a new stadium. I would like to go do that maze some day. I would assume it's only during late summer through fall season? Maybe I will make the trek.

It's really a cool adventure. They have consession stands and sell
pumpkins too. Another neat thing is they have camp fires all over.
Families come with coolers and make it an all day event. They cook out
and into the maze all day.
