Got a chance to test out the ground loop isolator and it does isolate. Sweet! No compromise in sound quality as I've noticed from a couple of samplings I tried.
I can start doing some recording once the shouting dies down. There is too much going on at the moment but time should be availble very soon to sub and make the CDs I mentioned in another thread.
I can help record for friends in the vicinity as well if they are reading this, hint, hint. I need the experience anyway.
