there is an enormous shortage of skilled labour in NZ the area I live in we have .04% unemployment and everyone is screaming out for tradesmen. I cant get a plumber or builder to look at plans for a new bathroom for 3 months

Dang Morgan!  No wonder my brother had no problem being accepted down there! (He's a plumber.)

No wonder he doesn't want to move back home either (well, that and a beautiful wife and kids, recent remodel of home, warm climate, etc., etc., etc.).

Sorry to hear about the work thing Dave ... been there.  Three years ago I received a pink slip instead of a Christmas bonus.  Took me two months to get an interview however.

So congrats! Chin up! And Good Luck!

I'll pay someone $5 to get the bathroom toilet unplugged. My daughter threw something in there and now it overflows everytime someone flushes it, which is sort of neat-o.

My wife keeps screaming at my daughter bacsue she purposely goes in there and flushes it to get it to overflow. Then my wife uses all the clean towels to clean the water off the floor.

It's a vicious cycle. I'm so incredibly depressed over this. (or not)

Where I work they are hiring temps for $8.50 an hour right now. It's very sad for the peeps that get hired to know what they're making. I don't know how they make it on that with families and all.  Personally I am getting ready to start looking for a new job.

Just in!.............We are going to have an opening soon! One of my co-workers took a job at federal prison nearby.

You need EPA 'universal' card for refrigerants.....boiler and chiller experience a must...no formal schooling required, but schooling can replace experience....Must be a veteran with past military experience, but does not have to be engineering military experience-just past military with honorable discharge.

We start at 27.11/hr with raise after 6 months and then yearly raises plus other bennies.

Rotating shifts, with each shift paying huge differential.....Typical pay is in excess of 65K/yr plus overtime......Matching savings in stockmarket up to first 5% you invest....all that you invest is tax deferred.

You will not be supervised...............Must be able to supervise yourself and work independently.

Watch usajobs.com for official job announcement in central Louisiana and apply online.

Good luck! :D
