Maninblack, be advised that some versions of "Layla" on karaoke are called the Eric Clapton version when in fact they are really the Derek & The Dominoes version. There aren't too many TRUE Eric Clapton versions of "Layla" (the slow version) on karaoke. The version on Superstar 526 is perhaps the best one I've heard, be forewarned that this disc is multiplex and you will need a CDG player with multiplex functions so you can remove the vocal track. This one needs to be done by a HIGH QUALITY CDG manu (like Sound Choice).
The Sound Choice version of "Crazy" by Seal (SC8942) blows away the Sunfly version (which really isn't too bad). I've sung this one several times and this version isn't cut short like the Sunfly rendition.
Hey Mike, thanks for the info. No probs with the mulitplex, press of a button and bingo, I'm ready to roll.
As for 'Crazy' yeah I definitely want the full version, I hate when folks cut it short, or try to do a radio cut.
One song that drives me nuts, is 'Mustang Sally' it's an old standard of course, but still gets great response from the audience. Every version I have seems to be a short version, I mean hell you just start getting your groove and bam, the tunes over. I do believe that Sunfly has a longer version of this, but not sure. Anyone know?
thanks again,
James
