Ha, ha. I see I'm disagreeing with Lonman. Maybe he has found that in practical usage it doesn't seem to cause a problem. In theory it could though.
As a "speaker" cable no - a microphone cable is not adequate. Speaker cable being the cable between a power amp & speaker.
His is an active speaker system, which means it just needs the line level signal coming from the mixer TO the amplified speaker which a microphone cable is perfectly adequate to run a line level signal.
