If you are talking about the free version of Pro tool, forget it. Too many bugs. Get Audacity from here  http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and its easier to use. make sure you go to the tutorial sites too.

I use either cool edit pro or adobe audition...same programe but adobe bought it. if you ever want a hand let me know you can get me on msn.  Blencathra1@hotmail.com

If however you meant how to rip your karaoke discs to computer I use audiograbber
you may however need to obtain a codec to make the files bigger

try this, just figured it out today with audiograbber, works good, plus this thread tells you how to do it somewhat.
